This month, Jones Logistics (JoLo) is proud to announce that Kristie Coleman, Senior Operations Manager, has been selected as our JoLo BOLO award winner for August!
At JoLo, our people have an unwavering commitment to our five core values: integrity, passion, unity, sustainability, and humility. However, the JoLo BOLO (Be on the Lookout) monthly employee recognition program celebrates those who go above and beyond in exemplifying these values in their everyday actions. Kristie is a great example of this kind of individual.
Kristie started her career at Volume Freight in 2013, which was acquired by Jones Logistics in 2020. Based out of our Columbus, MS location, Kristie began her JoLo career as a Customer Service Representative. In 2022, she accepted the title of Senior Operations Manager. In this position, Kristie plays a pivotal role in overseeing our Columbus terminal’s everyday management and maintenance.
When she was interviewed last year for Women’s History Month in 2023, Kristie talked about the value of showing up for others in the trucking industry: “A stereotype I would like to discredit in trucking is that compassion is seen as a weakness. To me, compassion is needed in our industry and it’s a strength- not a weakness.”
Kristie's compassion and concern for others certainly does not go unnoticed:
“If there's one thing about Kristie that's evident, it's how much she cares not only about the success of the company, but her people,” anonymously commented one of Kristie’s co-workers. “She makes a point to make her people feel heard and appreciated. Her passion for helping others grow cultivates an environment for success and is what makes her a model leader and a significant asset to Jones."
