On Friday, April 5, 2024, Jones Logistics (JoLo) hosted its 4th annual Claws for a Cause benefiting the ARC of Southeast Mississippi. This event has been held in different locations over the years, but this time, it was hosted behind JoLo's office headquarters in Hattiesburg, MS.
The ARC is a non-profit organization that provides support to individuals with disabilities and their families, including housing for adults and day programs for children. Thanks to our attendees, sponsors, and donors, we raised $5,000 for this wonderful organization.
“We’ve been in Hattiesburg since the 1950s,” commented Cindy Pennington, Executive Director of the ARC of Southeast Mississippi. “To survive this long, you have to depend on very strong community partnerships, and Jones Logistics has been that for the past several years. It’s very humbling to get a gift of this size.”
Our purpose as a company under the Jones Capital umbrella is to help improve the lives of our customers, employees, vendors, and the communities we serve. Claws for a Cause is one of many ways we do just that. Doug George, CEO of Jones Logistics, recalls how greatly our employees have benefitted from community outreach at the ARC in the past:
